Biographical/Historical Note
Established 1861. The gallery [a.k.a. S. & G. Gump Company] remains in Gump family hands after three generations. Gump's Gallery's recent exhibitions have been as various as Hudson River School paintings, Near Eastern bronzes, Fauvist painting, American folk art, and contemporary American printmakers.
