McBride & Company for a literary work tentatively titled "Portfolio of Thoroughbred Dogs," 1946.

Biographical/Historical Note

Gladys Emerson Cook (1899-1976) was an artist active in Massachusetts and New York best known for her sketches of dogs and cats used in book illustrations and advertisements.


Donated 2016 by art historian Christine I. Oaklander who purchased the papers at auction.
