Summary: Typewritten transcripts of four letters sent to artist's stationer George Bowden. Three are from the artist John R. Robertson, and are dated: Oct. 25, 1864; Feb. 28, 1865; and Dec. 2, 1868; and are sent from Paris, London, and New York. The fourth is a letter from John McDouall Stuart to George Bowden, dated Oct. 11 '64. Also includes transcript of a contract of Aug. 11, 1864 between Robertson and Bowden pertaining to an exhibition by Bowden of Robertson's paintings.
