Biographical/Historical Note
Frank Mechau (1904-1946) was a painter and muralist in Colorado. He painted multiple murals for the Public Works of Art Project of the Treasury Department including Dangers of the Mail , at the New Post Office Building in Washington, D.C..
Provenance
The papers were loaned for microfilming 1965 by Mrs. Paula Ralksa Mechau, widow of Frank Mechau and returned after filming.
