Biographical/Historical Note
Florence Resnikoff (1920-2013) was a metalsmith known for jewelry design in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. Born in Texas, Resnikoff studied art and learned the basics of jewelry making at the Ox-Bow Summer School of Painting through the Art Institute of Chicago. She focused on jewelry, working with metals and enamel after moving to San Francisco in 1951. In addition to exhibiting her works widely around the California and the United States, Resnikoff taught at the California College of Arts and Crafts.
