Series 1: Artists Files, 1962-2001, undated
(Box 1-42, OV 108-110; 41.5 linear ft.)

The files contained within this series contain correspondence, photographs, slides, occasional study drawings, exhibition and commission materials, and financial materials relating to the representation and sale of individual artists' work. Arrangement is alphabetical by surname of the artist. Occasionally artists' entries are broken down further by type of material. Each letter of the alphabet also has a Miscellaneous section for materials on artists for which the gallery did not establish a file.

Series 2: Albert Paley, 1970-2001, undated

Files documenting the relationship between Albert Paley and the Fendrick Gallery including correspondence, scattered design drawings, exhibition and commission material, photographs, slides, audio-visual materials, notes, publicity and other printed and digital matter. Included in these files is the draft of an unpublished manuscript about Paley, written by Daniel Fendrick. Arrangement of the series is by type of material. Documents within the individual folders are arranged chronologically by year. Researchers should also consult Series 3, Commissions for Albert Paley's commission projects managed by the gallery.

Series 3: Commissioned Works and Projects, 1972-2000, undated

The files within this series document both successful and unsuccessful commission applications and projects arranged by the gallery on behalf of various artists. The series is arranged alphabetically by name of project or by the name of the artist.

Series 4: Exhibition Files, 1961, 1970-1996, undated
(Box 58-63; 5.5 linear ft.)

Files documenting Fendrick gallery and Barbara Fendrick Gallery exhibitions. Series 4.2, Exhibition Files contain a wide variety of materials documenting exhibitions, such as correspondence, price lists, notes, shipping records, drafts and printed copies of exhibit text, publicity, and other printed material. The Exhibition Files are arranged chronologically by year of exhibit, followed by title of the exhibition. The span dates at the end of each entry describe the dating of materials within the folder. The Special Projects' Files concern other art-related events and special exhibitions in which the gallery participated.

Researchers should take note that Series 6, Subject Files also contains additional information on some of the larger or recurring theme exhibits produced by the Fendrick galleries. For example, the "Book Art" and "Book Artists" records of Subject Files contain additional information on planning the gallery's four book arts shows. Further information on exhibitions may also be found under Artists Files and in the Administrative Records.

Series 5: Museums and Galleries Files, 1952-2000, undated

The gallery's relationships with other galleries, museums, institutions, and art organizations is documented in this series. Many of the files concern loans, exhibition venues, and joint exhibitions or projects. This series is comprised of two subseries. Within each subseries the files are arranged alphabetically by geographic location. Within the individual folders the material is generally arranged chronologically by year.
