Summary: The Connie Zehr papers measure 15.0 linear feet and date from 1960-2020. Included are extensive sketchbooks and journals (over 50) spanning the late 1960s to 2020. Also included are exhibition files, correspondence, photographs and slides, printed materials, and clippings.
Biographical/Historical Note
Connie Zehr (1938- ) is an installation artist who was active in the Los Angeles feminist community starting in the late 1960s. Her work involves sand, clay, and sculptural elements. She was a founding member of Womanspace and she was a participant in the Market Street Program.
