Included in this series are photographs for the book Topaz Moon: Chiura Obata's Art of Internment, photographs of the Obata family's forced relocation from Berkeley, photos from the War Relocation Authority, and photographs of their home in Webster Groves, Missouri. Also included are photos of works of art and a photograph album from the Pan Pacific International Exposition. There are only a few photographs of Chiura Obata scattered throughout the series.
The photographs used in the book Topaz Moon are at the beginning of the series. The rest of the series is arranged alphabetically by subject.
The bulk of this series has been digitized. Materials which have not been digitized include blank versos of photographs and duplicates.
