The bulk of this series is comprised of correspondence with collectors, galleries and museums, conservationists, artists, printers, and art organizations. Records from 139 Spring Street Inc. consist of correspondence, meeting minutes, printed material from exhibitions, and agreements. Papers relating to professional organizations primarily consist of meeting minutes, correspondence, some financial papers, and printed material. Files relating to the San Francisco Art Dealers' Association, co-founded by Braunstein, also include price lists, artist information, printed material, and financial records from the Introductions exhibitions held at Braunstein/Quay. Also present are photographs depicting the various Braunstein/Quay locations from the 1960s to 1980s, exhibitions, events, and installations; and property records contain of contracts, correspondence, invoices, and blueprints. Ruth Braunstein's personal and professional papers include correspondence, itineraries, writings on art, and notes.
