Summary: Portions of a manuscript for Harrison's book, LANDSCAPE PAINTING; part handwritten, part typed. Water damage has made some pages illegible. The published contains Harrison's statement that the book is a "fulfillment of a promise to put into permanent form certain impromtu talks on landscape painting given before the Art Students' League in New York in its summer school at Woodstock, N.Y."

Provenance
Donated 1991 by N. Robert Cestone, an art dealer and painting restorer. He was given the manuscript by Bela Bordas, former owner of the Bordas Art Shop, New Rochelle, N.Y. Mr. Bordas, who is deceased, received the material from his friend, the artist Robert Emmett Owen.
