At the time these papers were microfilmed, McGlynn was married to architect Paul Sterling Hoag. She is married to Thomas A. McGlynn, Jr. Her father-in-law was painter Thomas A. McGlynn (1878-1966), whose biography Betty McGlynn wrote in 1979.
