Summary: The papers of Barbara Rossi measure 25.1 linear feet and date from circa 1960-2020. The papers document Rossi's teaching activities, her painting practice (large scale preparatory drawings), her scholarship on South Asian visual culture, and her early experience as a Catholic Nun. Included are biographical materials, correspondence, writings, teaching files, project files, exhibition and loan files, administrative files, photographs, and preliminary works of art.

Biographical/Historical Note

Barbara Rossi (1940-2023) was a painter and educator in Chicago, Illinois. Rossi was an original member of the Chicago Imagists.
