The Architectural League of New York held many functions and events throughout the years for League members, as well as providing rental space for other organizations' events. Found in this series are administrative files for managing such functions and the space in the League building.
The series is arranged as 3 subseries:
  • 6.1: League-Sponsored Functions and Events, 1909, 1931-1973
  • 6.2: Functions and Events Sponsored by Others, 1941-1966
  • 6.3: Administrative and Miscellaneous, 1934-1973

League-Sponsored Functions and Events, 1909, 1931-1973
The Architectural League of New York sponsored numerous events for League members in their facilities. Found in this subseries is correspondence, lists, printed materials, receipts, and other materials related to organizing League events. The bulk of the material is from the 1950s-1960s. Generally, folder titles were transcribed from the original folder titles; however, event dates and additional descriptive information may have been added if the processing archivist was able to determine correct information from the folder materials. Similar materials are found in the Current Work subseries and Exhibitions series.
Folders are arranged chronologically by year and event date; events in which the exact date is unknown are filed at the beginning of the year in which the event was most likely held.
