Shipping and Receiving Ledger, "Pictures Received and Delivered" (July 1888-May 1891), 1888-1891
Chronological entries list paintings, some sculpture and other objet d’art sent out or received, mainly paintings by American artists sent in for prize fund exhibitions sponsored by the Association. Entries vary in detail, sometimes listing the artist and title, other times referring to something like ’64 ptgs.,’ often including the name of an exhibition to which a painting is being shipped. The volume also includes references to paintings not sold, and a list of circa 180 paintings owned by the Association circa 1888 (pages 400-404). There is no index.

Shipping and Receiving Ledger, "Disposition of Pictures", 1886-1891
With entries arranged by artist or owner, this volume records the disposition of paintings by American artists in prize and other exhibitions, and includes a separate list of ‘rejected’ paintings, and pictures (many European) sent to Garfield Safe Deposit Co. Entries record sales as well as such transfers as ‘Ret’d by Budworth,’ ‘Del’d to Snedecor on order,’ ‘Sent to the Buffalo exhibition,’ etc. There is an alphabetical index by name of artist and, where separately listed, by owner. Entries include the title of the painting, date, identification number, buyer, shipper, other destination, etc.

Shipping and Receiving Ledger, "Disposition of Pictures", 1890-1892
Record of submissions to New York Water Color Club annual exhibitions, 1890-1892, held in the Association galleries. Entries are arranged by artist, and include the title of the painting, catalog number or note that the painting was rejected, and the disposition such as ‘Ret’d to Stetson by Bud,’ ‘Del’d to Guild,’ or ‘Sold and del’d to W. F. Havemeyer,’ etc. There is an index by name of artist.
