Summary: The microfilmed Agnes Albert letter from Edward Hopper is dated February 4, 1955. In it Hopper describes how he came to paint the watercolor House at San Mateo, and he gives his impressions of San Francisco and San Mateo.

Agnes Albert (1908-2002) was a pianist and arts patron in San Francisco, California.
Edward Hopper (1882-1967) was an American painter and printmaker.
