Jervis McEntee Diaries: December 19, 1884

Friday, Dec 19, 1884 The cold wave arrived last night and today has been bitterly cold. I have painted all day on a small picture I began several days ago and am getting interested in it. I have thought of Sara and my father many times today and wonder is [sic] he can be kept comfortable, and what is Joe Tomkins doing. I am going home tomorrow and then will know. I sent Mr. Kennedys picture to him this afternoon. I feel easier now that the taxes are provided for but there are many others things to provide for, still I am not worried and am able to work.
