Jervis McEntee Diaries: June 29, 1874

Monday, June 29, 1874- Vaux and I went over on the Vlightbergh and made a sketch in the forenoon. It was very hot. Sara, Edith Cook and the children went out to Leggs Mills for a pic nic. A tremendous wind and rain came up in the afternoon. I went after them about five o'clock and it rained nearly all the way there and back. We had a fine sunset shining through rain.
