Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, June 4, 1890, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution
Wednesday, June 4, 1890 Robt Wilkinson called on us this forenoon. He had some business in Kingston and came in on his way home. He said they had had the most successful time at Moose Lake they had ever had. Sara went to Clermont today with Clara [Dibblee?] via Rhinebeck & Connecticut R. R. John has gone to Middletown this afternoon and will take Nannie up there tomorrow. He had a telegram from the Dr. that they would have her ready. I am here alone and I find it not at all pleasant although I have been busy all afternoon putting away my winter clothes and arranging my summer clothes. It has been the first hot day of the season with great humidity. We had a hard shower early this morning and we have had sprinklings during the day.
