Jervis McEntee Diaries

Sunday June 15, 1890

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, June 15, 1890, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Sunday, June 15, 1890 A sober, not entirely settled day. Laura, Gertrude and her husband seem to be enjoying the old place and there is no trace of alienation and disagreement. Mr. Cranford acts as though he had never heard anything about the troubles, and the visit I so much dreaded has really been a pleasant one.
