Jervis McEntee Diaries

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, November 13, 1886, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Saturday, Nov 13, 1886 It has snowed at intervals all day but has not been cold. Snow fell to the depth of a foot in Buffalo, Rochester and Utica. I have been at work in my studio and painted three sketches although one of them is not very satisfactory. Sara had a letter from Lucy on the train between Omaha and Odgen. It is blowing hard from the N. W. as I go to bed.
