Wednesday, Feb 20, 1884 Fine cool weather. Began a picture 30 x 36 of a cliff in the Kaatskills from a sketch I made in 1859. Gertrude Tomkins came down from Rondout today and I took her to the Grand Opera house to see the "Rajah".
