Wednesday May 16, 1883

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, May 16, 1883, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Wednesday, May 16, 1883 Packing and arranging to leave this week. A meeting of the Art Union board of Control this evening at which all the members were present including Eastman Johnson. The project assumes strong proportions. We are making arrangements for an etching, probably by Blum from Eastman Johnsons "Reprimand". Eastman and I walked over to the 6th Av. together and I am to go there to dinner on Friday. Paid my studio rent for the year today.
