Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, January 30, 1883, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Tuesday, Jan 30, 1883 Went to see Marius Truck to see if he could pay me the note of $100 I paid for him a short time ago but got little encouragement. Like me he has more than he can do. He is to come to see me on Thursday. I worked a little on my figure and finished it I think. Went to see Wilmurt who is to have a frame ready for it on Saturday so that I can send it to the Century. Painted on my landscape. Mr & Mrs. Church came in. Dined at Fred Nortons with Connie Lee. Julia Dillon and Mr. Benedict came in.
