Jervis McEntee Diaries
Friday September 22, 1882
Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, September 22, 1882, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution
Friday, Sept 22, 1882 Has rained violently nearly all day. Received a letter from Calvert in which he tells me to go with Eastman and that he has made other arrangements for his vacation with Bowyer at Staten Island. I wrote him I had given up going to Maine and telegraphed him to that effect. Wrote to Eastman that I could not go. Nothing has been heard from Maurice. A letter came for him from Newport today. I went down town in the rain to mail my letters. The carpenter worked today and I looked up a painter to finish the work I am not able to do.< Previous Entry | Next Entry >
