Monday, Sept 11, 1882 Engaged a carpenter to come Monday to work on the stable. Rained very hard nearly all day. Had Henry whitewash the stable ceiling while Tom cleaned out the rubbish preparatory to cementing the floor. Dr. Howard Waldo came to attend a homeopathic convention at the Tremper House Phoenicia tomorrow.
