Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, December 13, 1882, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Wednesday, Dec 13, 1882 Downing sailed I presume at 7 this morning. It has been a dark rainy day and I have worked all day on a water color. Wrote to Mrs. Gifford that I would send her a little picture. Wrote to Sara that Calvert was going up with me on Saturday. I called to see Alice in the evening.
