Jervis McEntee Diaries

Saturday April 2, 1881

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, April 2, 1881, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Saturday, Apr 2, 1881 Much colder. Came to N. Y. by 9 1/2 train. Got in town just in time to take 11 oclock train to Rondout. I fear Maurice is on the cue of giving way again. Found a letter from Booth full of discouragement about his wife. My father had gone out to Whitistown. I am afraid he will have an uncomfortable time.
