Friday September 5, 1879

Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, Friday, September 5, 1879, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Fine still day. George left me to return and Fowler took his place in my birch. Lunched on Pemadumcook and reached camp at 7. Pouring rain while getting supper. Centre room of camp finished and all slept there. Miserable supper. Mrs. Church discouraged on account of our English friends but they cheerful and most amicable.
