[...continued from March 21] and Gertrude remained to see the conjunction of May and December in the wedding of Miss Lamont to old General Smith 74 years of age. Found here a letter from Alice to Gertrude announcing her engagement to a Mr. Knight an under professor with the Theological department of Tufts College. I immediately wrote her a congratulatory letter. Centennial meeting.
