Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, Saturday, April 29, 1876, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution
Weir, H. K. Brown & Eastman Johnson dined with me last night after which we went to the meeting at the Academy called to revise the Constitution. 26 were required for a quorum. By remaining there until 11 oclock and sending all over town we succeeded in getting 25 together and had to adjourn under the mortifying conviction that we only lacked one of a quorum. The apathy of the members is very discouraging. Brown staid with me. I go to Rondout today. Wrote to Gertrude from whom I received a letter yesterday.
