Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, Saturday, July 31, 1875, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Wrote to Platt sending him an appraisement of the Booth prints etc. Wrote to Bayard Taylor. Magan Everson died yesterday. In the afternoon Gertrude, Sara and I took a walk down the Steep Rocks road and across the top of the rocks through Ludlums woods home. It was a charming afternoon and the walk did us good. I walked to the Point in the morning. Fred Stedman & Irving Putnam came.
