Thursday June 19, 1873- Painted the stripes and the name "Antoinette Sterling["] on the boat. Bowyer went to N.Y. to be examined on admission into the school of [?] of Columbia College. It has been the hottest day of the season 92 degrees in the shade here on the hill. No rain for many days and the country dried up. Attended a party at John McEntees. Telegraphed the Churches we would go up there tomorrow on invitation from them.
