Jervis McEntee Diary Entry, Saturday, July 19, 1873, from the Jervis McEntee papers, 1850-1905, in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution

Saturday, July 19, 1873- It has remained cool and cloudy all day, so cool that a fire was not uncomfortable. I wrote to C. R. McEntee, Williams son from whom I received a letter while I was sick more than a year ago. A letter came from Mrs. Blackburn today for Gertrude. Calvert came up from new York. Aunt Esther went home this afternoon.
