The Brown Foundation, Inc. of Houston awards $1M grant to the Archives

Released: 9/24/07

This gift is the latest commitment in what has been an important long-term relationship between the Archives of American Art and the Brown Foundation.

The projects that will be funded with this grant include a major oral history program focusing on interviews with artists; the digital preservation of a significant portion of the Archives audio-visual holdings; and the hiring of additional staff to reduce the backlog of unprocessed archival records.
