Sketchbook entitled "Echo Park 1972" contains announcement sketches and a diagram; sketchbook called "China 1975" includes two sketches of figures in profile; sketchbook labeled "Poems and People 1976" contains full body and profile portraits, comic strips, an abstract sky scene with birds and stars; book titled "Cuba 1977" contains one cartoon figure sketch and several small diagrams to accompany text; sketchbook labeled "Mexico 1978" includes sketches of people from everyday life (some acquaintances identified by name), still life objects, churches, and architectural studies of Chichen Itza; sketchbook called "New York 1979" contains portraits of strangers, architectural studies, and an abstract sketch in colored pencil.
