In addition to the usual family news, Esther Bohm Locke writes about Eva Le Gallienne; St. Valéry, where they were when World War I began; the refugees; their return to Paris and then their move to Tuckahoe, N.Y.; summers on Cape Cod; Max's patron, Mrs. John Munro Longyear; portraits of Mary Baker Eddy; and her father's sudden death in 1923.
