DALE CHIHULY (b. 1941), letter to Francis Merritt, his wife Priscilla, and others at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, November 20, 1972, one page. In 1971, inspired by his teaching experience at Haystack, Chihuly co-founded Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, Washington. In this letter, he writes to his friends at Haystack about the second summer of Pilchuck and mentions artists Erwin Eisch, Fritz Dreisbach, and Ruth Tamara, Pilchuck patrons Anne Gould Hauberg and John H.
