Digging for Clay in the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution - Frans Wildenhain
Wildenhain’s kiln log, 1971–1979. To achieve ideal kiln firing it is important for a ceramist to keep a kiln log, a simple notebook recording the firing process. Two central references in the log are the total length of firing and the highest temperature reached during the firing.
