    Alexander Calder Papers, 1926-1967

    This site provides access to the papers of Alexander Calder that were digitized in 2005 by the Archives of American Art. The papers have been scanned in their entirety, and total 1,086 images.

    The papers of Alexander Calder measure 2.5 linear feet and date from 1927 to 1967. The collection documents Calder's career as a kinetic artist and sculptor through biographical material, correspondence, printed material, photographs, scattered prints and sketches by Calder, and a scrapbook.
