Collection Summary: A handwritten journal regarding his voyage from New York City to London, England, in 1852 (with a transcription by David Walcutt) and a notebook containing notes made during the voyage; a sketchbook, ca. 1853, containing pen and ink and pencil sketches of European monuments, buildings, bridges, and street scenes; and ten letters, 1878-1880, from Walcutt in New York City to his sons Macy and Henry. There are also photocopies including one of Walcutt's death certificate, and a clipping from a Columbus, Oh. newspaper regarding Walcutt's memorial for William Elmore Ide (d. 1873).
