Description: Inman writes from New York to McMurtrie in Philadelphia. He discusses the pricing for one of his works (which he refers to as "the retouched Bishop"), and also mentions the American Academy's interest in purchasing a full-length portrait of Benjamin West.
Letter is tipped onto a sheet which has a clipping pasted on with a short biography of Inman.
