Collection Summary: Materials documenting John McArthur and Alexander Milne Calder's work on Philadelphia City Hall including: F. Faust's THE CITY HALL, PHILADELPHIA, (1879) which contains ca. 200 plates of both the interior and exterior; and a scrapbook of photographs of architectural drawings, plans, and details of ornamentation, identifying most of the sculpture locations and allegorical significance, and photographs of Calder with models.
