    Description: New Year's greeting from painter and Bauhaus teacher Joseph Albers.
    The postcard is a color photograph of "The Loop," near Newfound Gap in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on which Albers has stencilled in paint, "a good : 9." The semicolon in arranged to make "the Loop" resemble the number 3, so that the front of the postcard reads, "a good 39."
