Collection Summary: A 27 page inventory of drawings and sketchbooks by American artists in the Rosenthal Collection in the Free Library of Philadelphia's Prints Department. The inventory lists artists, their dates, and titles of works in the collection donated by Albert Rosenthal.

Biographical/Historical Note: Albert Rosenthal was a portrait painter, printmaker, writer and collector in Philadelphia. In 1927 he began donating a collection of 846 drawings by American artists of the 19th and early 20th centuries to the Free Library of Philadelphia.
