    Lewis Iselin interviews, 1981 Sept. 30

    An interview of Lewis Iselin conducted by Robert Brown for the Archives of American Art. Iselin speaks of his role as a trustee of the Guggenheim and Tiffany Foundations, the Saint-Gaudens Memorial, and the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. He compares artists with academics as jurors. He discusses his own work of modeling in wax, and his "sculpture to wear."

    This interview is part of the Archives of American Art Oral History Program, started in 1958 to document the history of the visual arts in the United States, primarily through interviews with artists, historians, dealers, critics and others.
