Biographical/Historical Note: The National Museum Services Board is the policy making and priority setting arm of the Institute of Museum Services (IMS). IMS was created by the Museum Services Act as an independent agency within the National Foundation on the Arts and Humanities to make grants to museums in areas of operations, conservation, asssessment, and professional services.
Donated by the widow of George C. Seybolt, 1994.
