Correspondence is between Rogers and museums, dealers, and collectors whose holdings include Stearns' art. Subject files are on Stearns' art and Trenton Falls, N.Y. and include printed material, photographs, and notes by Rogers and correspondence. Photographs are of Stearns' artwork. Also included is an address list of Stearns' residences in New York City and Brooklyn, 1838-84. Printed material includes a copy of Antiques Magazine, August 1970.

Biographical/Historical Note: Millard F. Rogers was director of the Cincinnati Art Museum. After retirement he studied the life and works of Junius Brutus Stearns. Stearns (1810-1855) was a portrait and genre painter, New York, N.Y.
