Collection Summary: Exhibition files and scrapbooks document approximately ninety exhibitions held at the gallery from its opening in 1985 to its close in 1992; the gallery promoted a diverse selection of contemporary paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, and photographs. Files contain checklists, price lists, consignments, loan agreements, correspondence, curriculum vitae of artists', artists' statements, press releases, news clippings, reviews of exhibitions, shippers' receipts, and notes; also images of installation views and a few photographs of artists. Scattered correspondence is with artists and galleries; numerous checklists record prices of works of art. Among the artists' represented by the gallery on a regular basis were Richard Artschwager, John Beerman, Joseph Beuys, Ernst Caramelle, Robert Cumming, Eric Fischl, Gunter Forg, Edward Henderson, Alan Herman, David Hockney, Ron Janowich, Jasper Johns, Kim Jones, Donald Judd, Dennis Kardon, Karla Knight, Barbara Kruger, Sol Lewitt, Joseph Marioni, Brice Marden, Dimitry Merinoff, Will Mentor, Paul Mogensen, Barnett Newman, Jurgen Partenheimer, Laurie Parsons, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, Susan Rothenberg, Alan Saret, Carole Seborovski, Sandy Skoglund, Frank Stella, Al Taylor, Gunter Umberg, Alan Uglow, Ursula von Rydingsvaard, Andy Warhol, and Michael Young, among others.
