Collection Summary: Administrative files, financial records, letters, artists files, exhibition and event files, photographs, and printed material regarding the operation of the Long Point Gallery.

Administrative files include licenses, papers of incorporation and the history of the gallery, meeting minutes, and membership files. Financial records include expense and sales records, price lists, invoices and receipts, and contributions and gifts. Letters are from the gallery to individuals and concern works of art sold and purchased and exhibitions. Artists files are on Tony Vevers, Sidney Simon, Robert Motherwell, Judith Rothschild, and others. Exhibition and event files document exhibitions, galas, and other gallery events, 1977-1998. Also included is a VHS videotape of a gallery dinner, August 10, 1993. Photographs are of artists, gallery members, gallery installations and events, and slides of works of art. Printed material includes articles about the gallery and press releases.

Biographical/Historical Note: Long Point Gallery (est. 1977, closed 1998) was a cooperative art gallery in Provincetown, Mass. Long Point Gallery's founding members included Varujan Boghosian, Fritz Bultman, Carmen Cicero, Sideo Fromboluti, Edward Giobbi, Budd Hopkins, Rick Klauber, Leo Manso, Robert Motherwell, Paul Resika, Judith Rothschild, Sidney Simon, Nora Speyer, and Tony Vevers.

Donated 1999 and 2013 by the Long Point Gallery via Rosalind Pace, former Director.
