Collection Summary: Photographs and printed material compiled by Lillian E. Travis relating to William Glackens and Charles Pendergast. Also included is a small amount of letters and greeting cards from Ira Glackens, William Glackens' son, and Eugenie Prendergast, Charles Prendergast's wife to Marion Travis, Lillian Travis' daughter.
A majority of the collection consists of 19 black and white photographs of Lillian Travis, William Glackens and Edith Dimock Glackens, their children, Ira and Lenna Glackens, Maurice and Charles Prendergast, and the Glackens home in Connecticut. Printed material includes exhibition announcements, catalogs, and clippings relating to William Glackens and Charles Prendergast.
Biographical/Historical Note: Lillian E. Travis was a colleague of Edith Dimock Glackens at the Art Students League and model for William Glacken's painting, "The Shoppers."
Donated 2012 by Sarah Crawford Fox, Lillian E. Travis' granddaughter.
